Elements and Performance Criteria
- Interpret and comply with legal and industry requirements relating to service operations
- Apply knowledge and understanding of legislative and industry requirements, including relevant state/territory building codes, to work procedures
- Confirm or clarify knowledge and understanding of legislative and industry requirements, including state/territory building codes, where necessary, with relevant persons
- Identify potential and actualbreaches of legislative and industry requirements and take action according to organisational requirements and OHS policies and procedures
- Inspect and test fire hose reels
- Obtain all necessary work permits prior to entering customer premises
- Inspect and test fire hose reels according to the appropriate maintenance schedule of the relevant current Australian Standard, legislative and industry requirements and customer requirements
- Report, repair and replace all defects in accordance with technical specifications and work procedures
- Leave customer premises in a clean and tidy condition on completion of the installation functions
- Complete and distribute all documentation according to organisational requirements
- Install replacement fire hose reels
- Install fire hose reel assemblies according to manufacturers' instructions, customer requirements, relevant current Australian Standards and legislative and industry requirements
- Commission installed fire hose reels according to relevant current Australian Standards
- Leave customer premises in a clean and tidy condition on completion of the installation functions
- Complete and distribute all documentation according to organisational requirements
